About Animal Pain and Inflammation

Animal Pain and Inflammation is a homeopathic liquid from DB Pets, DesBio’s range for animals, for the temporary relief of muscular pain, joint pain and stiffness, pain in motion, lameness, injuries, wounds, bruising and sprains. It comes as 1 fl oz (30 ml) of drops you add to your pet’s water bowl or put on a snack.

How Animal Pain and Inflammation Works

Pets rarely tell you where it hurts; you notice it in how they move. A stiff start after a nap, a leg held up after rough play, reluctance on the stairs. Animal Pain and Inflammation brings twelve homeopathic actives together for that whole picture, and the Drug Facts label pairs each one with its target, from muscle pain to sprains. Arnica leads the formula at four potencies, from 4X to 200X, joined by poison ivy and St John’s wort at three potencies each. There are no tablets to hide: the drops go straight into the water or onto a snack.

Key Ingredients

Twelve actives, grouped here by what the label assigns them to:

  • Arnica and sarcolactic acid — for muscular pain. Arnica, a European flower from the daisy family, has been used for sore muscles since the 1500s.
  • White bryony and porcine cartilage — for joint pain; causticum for joint support.
  • Sodium pyruvate — for joint stiffness; poison ivy for pain in motion.
  • St John’s wort — for lameness.
  • Calcium phosphate and marsh tea — for injuries and wounds.
  • Rue — for bruising; comfrey for sprains.
  • Demineralised water and 25% ethanol — the liquid base.

Who It’s For

For the pet who is slowing down, stiff in the joints or recovering from a knock, a strain or a scrape.

Suggested Use

Give 10 drops 3 times a day, 15 minutes before meals, in the water bowl or on a snack, or as directed by your veterinarian or healthcare practitioner. In acute situations, give 10 drops every 15 minutes, up to 6 times a day. As symptoms ease, reduce to twice a day, then once a day, and stop when symptoms stop; repeat if they return. If your pet is expecting or feeding young, ask a veterinarian before use. Consult a veterinarian if symptoms persist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it only for dogs? No. DB Pets labels it for pets in general, and the pack shows a dog, a cat and a bird.

Can I give more in an acute situation? Yes. The label allows 10 drops every 15 minutes, up to six doses a day, tapering off as your pet improves.

Does it contain alcohol? Yes. The drops are made in demineralised water with 25% ethanol.
