The Herbalix Shampoo Bar is a 4 oz bar of soap that does the work of a shampoo and a body wash at once. Herbalix file it under both hair care and soaps, and that is exactly how it is meant to be used: lather it through your hair, then keep going. We stock the rosemary scent.
How the Shampoo Bar Works
Whole plant oils — olive, coconut, castor, avocado, sweet almond and jojoba — are saponified into soap with shea butter blended through. That process turns the oils into a cleanser while their fatty acids stay behind in the bar, so it lifts dirt and grease without leaving your hair and skin stripped. Those same oils keep skin soft and guard it against dryness, and hair comes away clean with its own lustre and protection intact. Nothing petroleum-based goes in, and the scent is a single essential oil rather than a fragrance blend.
Key Ingredients
Nine ingredients, and you can pronounce every one of them:
- Saponified olive, coconut and castor oils — the cleansing base, and the reason the bar lathers properly without a detergent.
- Shea butter, sweet almond, jojoba and avocado oils — the emollient side: they hold moisture in the skin and stop the wash from drying you out.
- Rosemary essential oil (Rosmarinus officinalis) — the scent, and the only thing scenting it.
