Systemic Formulas Bactrex | Bacterial Balance & Immune Support
$59.00
One infection rolls into the next, or the last one never quite cleared? Bactrex is the antibacterial half of this range.
In stock
Bactrex is a 60-capsule antimicrobial formula: berberine-bearing bitters, broad antimicrobial botanicals, immune-activating herbs and the minerals that keep the response running. It’s built for a defined stretch rather than daily use, and it’s the bacterial counterpart to FungDX in the same range.
How Bactrex Works
Bacterial overgrowth rarely comes down to one organism in one place. It comes down to terrain — an environment where the wrong things thrive and the immune system can’t keep up. Bactrex works both sides. One group of botanicals holds back bacterial replication and disrupts fungal survival alongside it, reducing the load your body carries. Another pushes the immune side: white blood cell activity, respiratory clearance, mucosal defence. And because berberine-bearing bitters stimulate digestive secretions, the formula improves the mucosal barrier that decides what gets through at all. It’s short-course by design — a strong antimicrobial isn’t something you want running indefinitely.
Key Ingredients
Fourteen botanicals, minerals and glandular factors in one proprietary blend.
- Oregon grape, goldenseal and gentian roots — berberine-containing alkaloids that hold back bacterial replication while supporting gut microbial balance. They also stimulate digestive secretions, which improves mucosal defence and microbial clearance in respiratory and digestive tissue.
- Garlic, thymol iodide, hydroxyquinoline and leptotaenia oil — the broad antimicrobial group. They disrupt bacterial and fungal survival, limit overgrowth, and reduce the extracellular pathogen burden your defences have to handle.
- Echinacea purpurea, poke root, pau d’arco, yerba santa and tayuya — the immune activators. They promote white blood cell activity, respiratory clearance and immune signalling during microbial exposure.
- Sterilised yeast, L-leucine, calcium and magnesium — non-germinating yeast for immune signalling, with the amino acid and minerals behind tissue repair and metabolic resilience while you’re fighting something.
Who It’s For
For the infection that keeps coming back, the one that never fully cleared, and the run of illness that follows a period of low reserves. It’s a course, not a staple.
Suggested Use
For maintenance, one capsule twice daily. For a focused course, two capsules three times daily for ten days, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. Don’t run it continuously — Systemic Formulas advises no longer than thirty days unless a practitioner directs otherwise. Also worth knowing: the leptotaenia in it can cause a temporary skin rash in sensitive people. If that happens, stop until it settles, which usually takes a few days; it generally doesn’t return when you resume.
Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between Bactrex and FungDX?
The target. Bactrex leads on bacterial load; FungDX is built for fungal overgrowth. Practitioners often run them in sequence.
Why can’t I take it long-term?
Because a broad antimicrobial doesn’t only act on what you’re targeting. Thirty days is the outer limit without supervision, and short courses are what it’s designed for.
What does berberine do?
It holds back bacterial replication and steadies the gut’s microbial balance. It’s the shared active in Oregon grape, goldenseal and gentian, and the reason all three are here.
What if I get a rash?
That’s the leptotaenia, and it’s a known, temporary reaction in sensitive people rather than an allergy. Stop, let it clear, then resume.
