• Pau d’arco — carries naphthoquinones, lapachol among them, plus flavonoids that hold back the growth of Candida albicans by disrupting its cellular processes. It’s also anti-inflammatory, which soothes the tissue irritation that comes with overgrowth.
• Hydroxyquinoline — from grapefruit rind. It binds to protein channels in fungal mycelium to interrupt growth and reproduction, and it reaches strains that resist conventional approaches.
• Clove oil — rich in eugenol, which breaks down fungal cell membranes and dismantles the biofilm Candida uses to shelter from your immune system.
• Evening primrose and leptotaenia oils — evening primrose brings gamma-linolenic acid, which holds back fungal growth and interferes with biofilm formation. Leptotaenia, from wild black carrot root, adds coumarins, flavonoids and terpenoids that back the immune response.
